In most cases, you can pay by bank transfer if there are at least 10-14 days between booking and departure. Depending on your country or region, payments made by bank transfer may be processed by our partner Worldline or by Air France directly. Payment instructions During the booking process, we provide the bank information needed to process your bank transfer, including the IBAN and BIC codes for the receiving bank account. You must proceed with payment according to the instructions given in your booking confirmation email. If we do not receive the total amount on time, your ticket issuance may be delayed or canceled. You can transfer the money from your bank account using online banking, a transfer form, or a cash transaction at your bank. Depending on your country, please indicate the reference number (12-digit code located on the payment confirmation page and in the confirmation e-mail) or the reservation number in the payment instructions. This information helps us link the payment to your reservation. As soon as we receive your full payment, we will send you an email containing your ticket within 5 business days. Your bank may charge a transfer fee when using bank transfers. You are always charged a "cross border transfer" fee on top of the ticket price for international transfers. Please contact your bank for more information concerning (the amount) of these fees.
If you want to pay at the Ticket Office, make sure to bring along the booking confirmation or booking reference you received by email. You must proceed with payment according to the instructions given in your booking confirmation email. If we do not receive the total amount on time, your ticket issuance may be delayed or canceled. Please note that a booking fee and/or a payment surcharge may apply. Some ticket offices and airports counters no longer accept cash. Please make sure you are able to pay with an internationally accepted credit or debit card.
You can pay online for all or part of your booking using a voucher. You can use several vouchers for the same booking. If the amount of the voucher is greater than the price of the ticket, the remaining amount will be credited to a new voucher. Please note:
- Vouchers are non-transferable and must be used for the passenger whose name is stated on the original voucher.
- The payment of an option with a voucher is possible, after the purchase of the ticket, in the "My Bookings" section of our website.
- Vouchers issued by both Air France and KLM are accepted.
- You can use a voucher issued in a currency other than that of your booking.
- Each passenger may use up to 2 vouchers per booking within a limit of 3 vouchers per booking file.
- A voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
The prices stated on the Air France website are shown in one specific currency for each country. However, on most of our websites it is possible to pay in another currency when you pay with some card(s) or PayPal. An exchange rate that includes a foreign exchange margin is used to convert the original currency into the preferred payment currency. This foreign exchange margin is market-based, and Air France always endeavors to keep this margin lower than the margins that are similarly applied by credit and debit card-issuing institutions like banks. However, Air France cannot be held liable for any differences in these rates. If the currency you select is different from the currency billed on your credit or debit card statement, the bank issuing the card will convert the transaction using their rate. Air France cannot be held liable for this conversion. If your credit or debit card account resides in a card-issuing institution in a different country, the institution issuing your card may still charge a fee. This depends on the country and bank. These fees are called ”overseas charges” or “cross-border charges” and are not related to exchange rates. Your bank may charge this fee regardless of what currency you select for payment at Air France. This is subject to the agreement between the bank and the cardholder. Consequently, Air France cannot be held liable for these fees.
